The Top 3 Things Your Sales Page Needs To Stand Out & Keep People Engaged👇

I know you know this, but sales pages are a big f*cking deal. When created well, they can be the catalyst to a big impact and even bigger sales for you and for your clients'.

“Cool cool cool, but what does ‘created well’ even mean?”

For a sales page to really work, you need to…immediately grab someone’s attention, tell an enticing story, and keep their attention long enough for them to want to opt-in.

Basically, your sales page needs to be interesting and highly engaging (i.e. not look like everything else out there).

So how do you do that? Here’s a start…

The Top 3 Things Your Sales Page Needs To Stand Out & Keep People Engaged👇

1. PURPOSEFUL FLOW

Our brains naturally want to digest information in chunks or lists because they feel more approachable than large text blocks.

As you’re writing your sales page copy, think of ways to compartmentalize your ideas—bullet points, numbered lists, multiple subheads, etc.

It’s also important to think of how your entire page flows together as one. A good question to ask yourself throughout is, “What’s the next thing someone will be wondering and how can I address it before they realize they have that question?”

This will drive the order and flow of your copy and close any information gaps that might arise.

2. ONE GOAL

Your sales page should be tailored to meet one goal and one goal only—converting clients or customers. One of the biggest mistakes I see people making is keeping their website’s footer and header on their sales page. Not only are these incredibly distracting from your goal, they simply don’t belong—delete them.

If you have links to your other site pages, people will end up clicking around and exiting your sales page.

For my clients, I add a “sales page footer” that includes the course or program logo, social media links, and a link to the terms & important details pertaining to the program. You can also include links back to your website in this sales page footer if you want to!

3. CONTRAST

Contrasting colors and aesthetics help our brains identify different ideas and messages.

When everything looks the same, it can be difficult to understand what’s going on.

This especially pertains to the buttons on your sales page. You want to use colors that emphasize what you’re asking people to do (e.g. sign up, click here, enroll).

Ensure your buttons are clear, bright, and obvious by using contrasting colors between the button and the background of the page. If you have a green background with a light blue button, people won’t notice it. Choose a bright color instead like neon violet or bright pink. And YES, it’s okay if your buttons aren't an on-brand color.

It’s also important to create contrast between each section of your sales page - rather than the background color being all white, creating various different colors between each section makes it easier for your audience to flow through your copy!

This is just the start—but if you keep all 3 of these in mind, odds are high that your sales page will not only attract and keep people’s attention, it will convert them into excited buyers 👏

This is your sign to go rework your sales pages 🤩
