Designer Secrets: How To Copy And Paste Pages From One Squarespace Site To Another

This AMAZING plugin allows you to easy do this without needing to rebuild everything from complete scratch and it is a tool I use often to copy layouts from one site to another without needing to rebuild it.

This is the exact plugin I use to install our Squarespace Sales Page templates on to our client websites - granted if our template has code in it, we also have to copy and paste the code from the template and make sure that it does not interfere with the code on the client’s website too! So keep that in mind.
All of our templates include this step by step tutorial with our code documentation for you to do this yourself if you don’t want to pay the installation fee for us to do it for you..but if you are feeling techy and want to do this yourself I highly recommend it!
Here are the steps you need to take to make this happen
Step 1: Download the Squarewebsites Tools PRO Chrome Extension & follow the instructions on the website. There are really helpful video instructions included.
Step 2: You will first need to enable the extension and then copy the page you want on the Squarespace Website using "get collection"
Step 3: Open your current site and enable the extension
Step 4: Hold 'SHIFT' to paste the copied collection into the not linked area of your site
Step 5: Go back to the template and click Design > Custom CSS > Copy and Paste the template code exactly as is into your website's CSS area (note that if you already have code on your site this might mess things up a bit. I do not offer any support for code on your current site and can only help with the code on the template)
Step 6: Make adjustments to your color themes, headings, add your copy and own images! I’ve found after copy and pasting that the page you paste into your site does inherit the design styles on the site - so most of the time I do need to make some tweaks to the design.
All in all - it makes the process so much easier! You still do need to adjust the design settings, but it gives you all of the structure and layout of the pages you desire in to your current site.
