9 Of The Hottest Design Trends For 2023

Design Trends! We love them - these are some of our favorite trends that we believe will roll into 2023 as some of the biggest trends in all things design.

We’ve shared some of our own designs & designs from creators work we admire!

Editorial style design

A tried & true trend that will always be a classic! This is a style that a lot of our clients and a lot of online business owners are attracted to! A great way to make your brand feel professional, luxury, and chic. Beware though that this style is becoming very popular so it can be good to think of how you can make your version diferent.

Pops of neon

Neon colors used in moderation can be a great way to attract and draw attention to various different things on your website & social posts. With neutral color palettes becoming overly used, adding in a pop of color can create even more visual interest!

Risograph or Halftone texture

This is a fun effect that has been long used in the design world that we are excited to see more of! This creates a print vibe for your photos and can be used for fun background textures

Dark Mode -

do you have your apps or iphone set to dark mode? We’ll see a lot more of this in the design world with dark backgrounds and lighter text. This can help with your screen brightness and be easier on the eyes.

Maximalist -

minimalism will always be a vibe, but it’s not for everyone! Think layers, patterns, textures, accessories, decor!

Vibrant still life -

a trend we’ve seen in a lot of product photography that can be fun to get creative with in the digital product world. Feature your courses on a vibrant still life computer mock up, take photos of your own digital products & have fun with lighting + color!

Inky -

similar to the risograph or halftone vibe, adding an ink effect to your text can give it a nice analog feel in a world of digital

Mysticism -

we are seeing a lot more businesses using iconography that relates to astrology, tarot and the occult. With more people becoming interested in this realm we’re seeing a lot more of this type of design!

Should you follow design trends?

We beleive trends are FUN and over the years we see trends come and go. If you see a trend you like that aligns with your brand, why not try them out?! But don’t completely change your entire brand because you like a current trend. Make sure to think about how the trend aligns with your brand personality and vibe.

..whats being overly done?

Collages, gradients, arch shaped images, cursive handwritten fonts, shadow overlays over images, classic serif fonts, - while we do feel some of these really work for brands and can still work, we see them overdone in the world of design! If you want a FRESH new look, adopting some new trends can be fun.

The best way to try out new trends?

Use them in instagram reels, posts, etc - those types of design are things that come and go.
